Haunting In The Harrison Hall

Game Description

A 3rd person horror game made in Unreal, where you play as a Residential Advisor searches around the freshmen dorm to make sure that it is safe for future freshmen. It takes place at George Mason University in the Harrison Dorms. However, a ghost haunts the area, and you must find a way to resolve the issue for future freshmen.

The Making of the Game

The task that my team was given was to make a game using the Unreal Engine, so after learning the basics of Unreal, we have created the game of Haunting in the Harrison Hall. What stuck out to me when programming the game was the AI, I was able to learn AI better in a 3D setting since they focus on using a Nav mesh, and a blueprint for code. As a level designer, tasked to create levels for our game by using the tileset and model pieces that the artists provided after they have referenced the objects around the George Mason campus. The music was crafted in FLStudio and the sound effects were created by my desktop microphone.
